Who are we?

“And who is my neighbor?” Luke 10:28

It began when we asked this question, while sitting on a park bench. Moments later, we met a group of recent immigrants and said hello. Through this encounter, God opened a door, we made new friends, and a ministry was born.

What we do

We believe we can better love our neighbors if we know them. We are passionate about building relationships in the Monument Corridor. Our rhythm of showing up in the community helps us build bridges in knowing our neighbors. Through our scheduled events, we invite the community to come and get to know us.

Every other month, we host either a breakfast or dinner to share a meal with the community. We connect with the kids through crafts and games.
We also use these times to bring groceries and diapers as an expression of our love for them
For the last four years, we have been running a youth group at an apartment complex. Through our time there, we have fostered relationships with many of the children and students who live there.

Why we do it

Meeting our neighbors has opened our eyes to the vulnerability and struggles of many immigrants/refugees, especially the women. Many have gained freedom from the oppression in their home country, only to realize that life as an immigrant comes with its own overwhelming obstacles.

We aim to offer friendship, a link to resources when needed, and a connection to someone who might be able to answer questions about a completely different culture. Through our partnership with local churches, we have expanded our reach in the Monument corridor, which has also helped other churches get involved.
